This repository includes the data and the 3D models of the paper: "Synaptic symphony: orchestration of an explicit monosynaptic reflex arc for autonomous movements in a biorobotic leg" by Tobias Nadler, Norman Stutzig, Daniel Haeufle and Syn Schmitt.
This dataset comprises experimental biomechanical, kinematic, and sensory data generated by triggering a patellar reflex with a pendulum, capturing responses from both human participants and a biorobotic leg. The data is provided as .csv files and organized into seven directories that map the entire reflex process, including the pendulum trajectory, EMG/sensor signals, knee angles, reflex timing, and moment arm (see the README in the Downloads section for full details). This structure enables the analysis of reflex arc transferability from humans to autonomous biorobots by evaluating metrics such as electromechanical delay, latency, and maximum deflection. Consequently, the dataset can be easily reused for comparative biomechanical studies, robotic model validation, or motor control meta-analyses.
