Monitoring of KTiOPO4 Crystallization with a New Supercritical In-Situ Hydrothermal Cell

DOI

This proposal seeks 2 days on POLARIS in order to fully complete the commissioning of a large volume in-situ reaction cell for studying hydrothermal chemical syntheses in supercritical water. We have chosen for our first commissioning chemical synthesis to study the preparation of potassium titanyl phosphate, KTiOPO4 (KTP). It would be a ground breaking experiment for the station and would result in a very high profile publication.
