As a result of the three poles of work, technology, and leisure, the social time structure is under pressure and dissolution. On the one hand, the project investigated the effects of a more flexible organization of social time structures on the individual, the family and the social relations. On the other hand, the importance of the increasingly technological nature of private households with regards to the use of time was examined.

Ausgehend von den drei Polen Arbeit, Technik, Freizeit gerät das gesellschaftliche Zeitgefüge unter Druck und in Auflösung. Das Projekt erforschte einerseits die Auswirkungen einer Flexibilisierung von gesellschaftlichen Zeitstrukturen auf das Individuum, die Familie und die sozialen Kontakte. Andererseits wurde die Bedeutung der Technisierung der privaten Haushalte auf die Zeitnutzung untersucht.
