This dataset is an alphabetic enumeration of the former princely states of Indonesia, from earliest times to the modern era, with simplified genealogies and order of succession.

Version 1 of this dataset was published in the IISH Data Collection as: Hägerdal, Hans, 2026, "Kerajaan2 Indonesia", https://hdl.handle.net/10622/V3XJIR, IISH Data Collection, V1 under the persistent identifier hdl:10622/V3XJIR. This version was later moved into its current environment DataverseNL in January 2026 which generated a version 2. Version 2 of this dataset therefore bears no change in content as compared to Version 1. The current version, Version 3 had new added data.
