IN-SITU NEUTRON DIFFRACTION STUDIES OF METAL-HYDRIDE HYDROGEN STORAGE MATERIALS

DOI

Recently [RB 900007], we have demonstrated that it is possible to determine the detailed site-by-site behaviour of hydrogen during in-situ absorption and desorption in metal alloy systems. We now wish to investigated two new alloys with a view to determining the detailed behaviour of hydrogen within the alloy crystal structure on absorption and desorption, the nature of hydrogen absorption and desorption and show that the new compositions reduce the capacity limitations of the original compositions.
