The provided dataset is based on the joint angle amplitude results of operators' quasi-static assembly postures. This file contains data from 12 subjects performing three postures five times in two different scenarios (either a real workstation or an immersive workstation) during an assembly experiment, with the mean amplitude of eight joint angles recorded.
The Excel file contains a single sheet, detailed as follows:
(1) The two groups of subjects started the experiment either from the real workstation or the immersive workstation, distinguished by different colors. Subjects marked in green indicate those who started the experiment from the immersive workstation, while those without color markings started from the real workstation.
(2) The provided file includes information on the subjects' height (cm), subject ID, gender (F/M), profession (Technician/Teacher/Young Engineer), experimental scenario (VR/Real), scenario number, and the mean amplitude of each joint for five repetitions of each posture.
(3) The three postures in the assembly experiment include:
Posture 1: Pick the first plate from the toolbox.
Posture 2: Place the assembled product in the toolbox.
Posture 3: Use the screwdriver to tighten the screws.
(4) The eight joint angles considered in the file include: Right arm flexion, Left arm flexion, Right arm abduction, Left arm abduction, Right lower arm, Left lower arm, Neck, and Hips.
