Analysis of transcriptomic dynamics during the compatible and incompatible interactions between Brassica napus and Leptosphaeria maculans Transcriptome

Leptosphaeria maculans (anamorph Phoma lingam), the causal agent of blackleg disease in Brassica napus, poses a continual threat to canola/rapeseed production The overall goal of this study is to decipher the transcriptomic dynamics of both B. napus and L. maculans during the compatible and incompatible interactions at the early infection. Furthermore, this study will put more insight into the molecular mechanism of plant resistance to the L. maculans infection and contribute to the development of more efficient disease control methods.
