Microbial community in Xiamen coastal water with addition of Glucose, Laminarin and Synechococcus organic matters

Our aims were to 1) explain how microbial community compositions (single bacterial strain versus natural microbial assemblages) utilize and transform different substrates 2) determine how organic substrates (from simple to complex) shape the chemodiversity and microbial communities and 3) reveal how bacterial metabolites of autotrophic substrates contribute to the marine DOM pool.
