Commissioning Proposal ¿ Gas Cell Development

DOI

An important element of the work associated with the current Framework Programme 7 Joint Research Activity (JRA) for muons is the development of gas sample pressure cells capable of operating to pressures of ~50 bar. The cells are being designed for measurements using a surface muon beam in applied magnetic fields of up to 5T, and will incorporate a radiofrequency (RF) cavity. The development of both Avoided Level Crossing (ALC) and RF experiments in the gas phase is envisaged.
