CASA MILA (Cultural and Social Aspects of Multimodal Interaction on Language Acquisition) data

Annotated and analysed data from observations carried out within the CASA MILA project. The observations concerned natural multimodal interactions of infants (aged 13-18 months) from three different cultural communities (in the Netherlands, rural Mozambique and urban Mozambique). Focus of the analysis concerned verbal and non-verbal communication in three cultural learning environments.

Method: Natural longitudinal observations in the field. Universe: 12 Dutch infants (and their caregivers). 14 rural Mozambican infants (and their caregivers). 14 urban Mozambican infants (and their caregivers). Age range 13-18 months old.
