We compiled data from five different proxies for the reconstruction of deep water mass composition in the deep Atlantic during the Last Glacial Maximum (23 - 19 ka BP), Heinrich Stadial 1 (17.5 - 14.6 ka BP), and Late Holocene (5 - 0 ka BP). The proxies are carbon and oxygen stable isotopes in benthic foraminifera tests, carbonate ion concentration inferred from benthic foraminifera B/Ca ratio, the radiogenic isotope composition of authigenic Nd in sediments, and the apparent radiocarbon ventilation age. Additionally, we generated one new record of stable carbon and oxygen isotope signatures from Site IODP U1302 in the Labrador Sea, and new stable carbon and oxygen isotope data for the three different time slices from several additional Atlantic sites. We use these data to estimate the distribution and mixing of different source waters in the deep Atlantic.
