This dataset presents the performance of fourth and fifth grade elementary school students in a series of experimental tasks involving the learning trajectories of new words. The data were collected as part of a study examining the impact of modality of exposure (oral or written) on word learning.
The corpus mainly includes measures of accuracy and reaction time collected during two test sessions (immediate and delayed). The tasks include five tasks focusing on word form and meaning:
1. An oral recognition task
2. A written lexical decision task
3. A orthographic judgment task
4. A semantic priming task
5. A sentence judgment task
Furthermore, the data set for the control tasks (covariates).
