Cilj raziskave je preučiti zadovoljstvo uporabnikov s storitvami Arhiva družboslovnih podatkov (ADP) in priporočiti korake razvoja organizacije z namenom izboljšanja storitev. Pri čemer se zavedamo, da je merjenje zadovoljstva le en element med kazalci uspešnosti in kakovosti organizacije. Osrednjega pomena za zaupanje uporabnikov je nedvomno kakovost gradiv. V primeru statističnih rezultatov, še posebej v primerih, ko se statistike uporabljajo v procesih odločanja, je kakovost podatkov osnova za veljavnost znanstvenih ugotovitev. Ko danes govorimo o kakovosti storitev v organizaciji, pa nimamo več v mislih zgolj kakovosti pripravljenih gradiv in izdelkov, ampak tudi kakovost celotnega delovnega procesa, kamor spadajo učinkovitost, usposobljenost in motivacija zaposlenih ter kakovost ponujenih storitev. S kakovostjo se srečujemo na vseh ravneh delovanja organizacije. Posameznih vidikov kakovosti nikakor ne smemo obravnavati ločeno, saj si sledijo in so med seboj povezani. Z vsemi korakih delovanja organizacije pa so povezani tudi stroški in naloga menedžmenta je upravljati celostno obvladanje kakovosti ter najti pravo ravnovesje med kakovostjo in stroški.

Objective of the study is to survey users’ satisfaction with the services of ADP (Slovenian Social Science Data Archives) and to put forward recommendations for improvements. We are aware that user satisfaction is only one possible performance indicator for assessing the quality of organizations. When designing the measurement instrument we modelled ourselves on previous surveys among similar organizations abroad, as well as user satisfaction surveys conducted in libraries and statistical organizations. Quality of offered materials and well as services does influence the trust of users. Quality is important at all steps in the workflow of the organization. These steps are related to different costs in organization and the task of management is to balance between costs and quality.
