Tuning micellar interfacial curvature in CO2 by small molecule additives

DOI

This proposal aims to explore co-surfactants, as additives with CO2-active surfactants, for elongating reversed micelles in dense CO2 by using high-pressure small-angle neutron scattering (HP-SANS). The mixed systems offer an approach to thicken dense CO2 and increase efficiency of processes such as enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
