Spin dynamics in the iron-based superconductor CsCa2Fe4As4F2

DOI

The relationship between spin fluctuations and superconductivity is of paramount importance in understanding the iron-based superconductors. We have recently investigated the superconducting properties of the newly discovered bilayer CsCa2Fe4As4F2 compound with Tc=28.3 K using muon-spin rotation measurements. Our results [Phys. Rev. B 97, 060506(R), (2018)] show two gaps (s+d-wave) with at least one nodal gap. We propose to search for a magnetic resonance in this new material by using inelastic neutron scattering with the high flux time-of-flight spectrometer MERLIN.
