Here we present a low field magnetic susceptibility record from marine sediment core MD99-2284, for the age model of Core MD99-2304 (https://doi.pangaea.de/10.1594/PANGAEA.971113). Core MD99-2284 was retrieved from the Faroe-Shetland Channel (62°22'28.80N, 0°58'48.60W) with piston corer at 1500m water depth during cruise Marion Dufresne IMAGES 5 1999 leg MD114. This dataset covers an interval between 40 and 32 ka b2k during MIS 3. The age model of MD99-2284 was constrained by tunning the anhysteretic remanent magnetization to the NGRIP δ18O and then by targeted high-resolution identification of cryptotephra (Dokken et al. (2013,doi:10.1002/palo.20042); Sadatzki et al. (2019,doi:10.1126/sciadv.aau6174 ); Berben et al. (2020, doi:10.1016/j.quascirev.2020.106277)).The volume low field magnetic susceptibility (Κlf) of MD99-2284 was measured at the paleomagnetic laboratory at the LSCE in Gif-sur-Yvette. Measurements were done every 2 cm on u-channels, using a Bartington sensing coil with about 5.5 cm diameter. The Κlf is presented as Κlf (10-6 SI).
