V79 and LN18 were exposed to 250 kVp x rays at doses from 0 to 3 Gy. The cells were then prepared for either flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy 1.5 doubling times later.
In the case of the microscopy, the cells were blocked from dividing using cytochalisin b. Imaging was done with a Nikon Eclispe CiS microscope using a 10x objective. The resulting images are contained in the data set.
Flow cytometry was done using a double DNA stain using SYTOX Green and Ethidium Monoazide (EMA) using a BD FACSCanto II. The generated FCS files are included in the dataset.
This dataset was the result of a PhD, titled "MiNIMUS: A Model to Predict the Formation and Numbers of Micronuclei in Cells.", available open access via Surrey Research Insight (http://epubs.surrey.ac.uk).
