De geïnterviewde ging in 1946 als dienstplichtig militair naar Indië. Hij was ingedeeld bij de tweede compagnie van het 4-2 RI en verbleef te Noord-Sumatra. De geïnterviewde vertelt over patrouilles, zijn ervaringen van de politionele acties en gaat in op zijn vertrek naar Nederland begin 1950.
