Het gebouw werd in 1956-1958 gebouwd naar ontwerp van architectenbureau Geenen & Oskam en huisvestte in de onderbouw de showrooms en benzinepompeiland met onderdoorgangen van een garagebedrijf en op de vier verdiepingen flatjes.
