We propose to investigate the vibrational spectra of NaX faujasite as a function of hydration using simultaneous INS and Raman spectroscopy on TOSCA. Prior to the beamtime we will prepare 3 NaX faujasite samples with a different hydration level (10%, 15% and 30% in mass). The ability of TOSCA to capture the entire vibrational energy range in one measurement is key to the experiment. The use of neutron spectroscopy will allow more direct access to the boson peak information than other techniques would afford. Measuring the Raman spectra simultaneously with the INS is vital in ensuring that the samples measured have identical moisture content and will mean that the full energy range can be measured for each sample
