Global and local scale HPLC phytoplankton pigments

DOI

This dataset includes: (1) global HPLC phytoplankton pigment dataset (with associated surface ocean temperature, salinity, water depth, and annual mean nitrate concentration from World Ocean Atlas) and (2) local scale HPLC phytoplankton pigment dataset from 6 time series observatory sites. These data are used in Kramer and Siegel (2019) to evaluate the potential and limitations of HPLC pigments for use in calibration and validation of ocean color remote sensing algorithms.
