1-Myr Vegetation (leaf wax δ13C) reconstruction from Lake Towuti, Indonesia

DOI

Vegetation reconstruction from Lake Towuti, Indonesia that spans the past 1-Myr with ~3-kyr resolution. To reconstruct vegetation, we measured stable carbon isotopes of the leaf waxes preserved in the cores, specifically focusing on C31 alkanes. Carbon isotopes were measured using a gas chromatography-isotope ratio mass spectrometer (GC-IRMS) against Vienna Standard Mean Ocean Water (VSMOW). We also report the stable carbon records of C29 and C33 alkanes.
