Metagenomic analysis on symbiotic bacteria in ascidians related to vanadium accumulation

(Experiment 1 and 2) We assessed the efficiency of the methodology on the intestinal content of a vanadium-rich ascidian, A. ahodori. (Experiment 3) We compared PCR-based sequencing and metagenomic sequencing methods. We then utilized PCR-based methods to obtain deep 16S sequence data from two organs and the intestinal contents of three ascidian species.
