Nematostella vectensis transcriptomes under starvation

In this study, we starved adult Starlet sea anemones (Nematostella vectensis) for 30 days and compared their gene expression profiles to the profiles of well-fed adult anemones. Moreover, we determined the effect of starvation on NF-kappaB activity and immune response. The goal of this project was to characterize the impacts of prolonged starvation on a cnidarian model organism, and the consequences on its immune response.
