Investigation of spin dynamics across quantum critical point in Co substituted CeRu2Ge2 using muon spin relaxation studies

DOI

Investigation of correlated behaviour in Ce based intermetallics has continued to fascinate researchers. These compounds exhibit novel ground states depending on the strength of the correlations. We intend to study the strongly correlated nature of CeRu2-xCoxGe2 which exhibits quantum critical behaviour near the critical concentration xc~1.5 using muon spin relaxation technique. Bulk measurements already performed on these series provide us with some insight regarding the correlated nature of electrons. The present investigation will help to test the complete absence of static magnetism as x tends to xc and to gain deeper knowledge regarding the correlated behaviour in this system.
