This analysis report is part of the project: ‘Kick-starting the nascent social finance market in Estonia (SoFiMa)’.
The project consortium includes the Baltic Innovation Agency, Tallinn University, Võru County Development Centre,
and the Estonian Social Enterprise Network. The project is also supported by AS SEB Bank and the start-up accelerator,
Buildit.
This analysis report focuses on investment needs and investment readiness amongst Estonian social enterprises. The
report also addresses the process of capacity-building to ensure investment readiness, and the capability levels of
existing support organisations in terms of being able to provide the necessary services to social enterprises.
This analysis report is being co-financed by the European Commission through the ‘Employment and Social Innovation’
‘EaSI’ 2014-2020. One of the objectives of the EaSI programme is to promote employment and social inclusion by
improving financial access for social enterprises, while the programme also supports the development of the social
enterprise finance market.
