It aims to ensure that young people’s interests are properly represented in policies that are impacting their lives and shaping their futures.
Next Generation: Kazakhstan 2024 was a nationally representative survey conducted to explore the attitudes, values, and aspirations of young people in Kazakhstan aged 18-35. The Kazakhstan data covers three primary themes: Youth Lifestyles and Attitudes, Youth Voice (including political and civic engagement), and Education, Skills and Employment. The survey was conducted by the British Council in collaboration with the LSE Consulting and the Central Asian Barometer between August 21 and October 20, 2024, using the British Council’s standard Next Generation Questionnaire. The dataset offers valuable insights into how young Kazakh citizens perceive their roles in society, their career outlook, and their levels of engagement with civic and political processes.
