Miniature Autonomous Plume recorder (MAPR-74) data during RV SONNE cruise SO301 at Kairei Vent Site

This dataset contains MAPR (Miniature Autonomous Plume Recorders) data corresponding to bottle closures for water sampling with a CTD rosette conducted during the cruise SO301. The stations were executed in December 2023 to detect possible hydrothermal plumes at the Kairei Vent Site at approximately -25° latitude and 69° longitude. For each station a varying number of MAPRs were mounted at the hydrowire of the rosette system, providing complementing measurements with a constant depth offset to the CTD and therefore increasing vertical measurement resolution. The data was processed to correct sensor uncertainties and remove outliers. Navigational data from the ships positioning system are included. Decimal places are provided as they come out of the instrument, and do not reflect measurement accuracy.
