Muon Study of Light Induced Magnetism

DOI

A study of molecular magnet containing Cu(II) and Mo(V) ions is proposed. The substance [Cu(C3H8NO)]4[Mo(CN)8]*4H2O exhibits light enhanced magnetism observed with wavelenght 488 nm. This state stays for hours when the sample is kept in low temperature after light is switched off. We propose study of local magnetic behaviour by muons during and after the sample is enlighten.
