Direct RNA sequencing on an array of nanopores

In this work we compare a novel technology – nanopore direct RNA sequencing – to nanopore cDNA sequencing and sequencing-by-synthesis. We use messenger RNA isolated from saccharomyces cerevisiae or externally validated controls to elucidate differences between the data generated by each technology and subsequent effects on downstream analysis.
