Comparative analysis of epigenomic evolution in mammals

This study used comparative epigenomic data from multiple mammalian species to investigate the roles of DNA methylation in gene evolution, species trait evolution, and genomic imprinting. Together, the findings show that DNA methylation and the complex interaction between the genome and epigenome have a significant impact on mammalian evolution.
