Data: Cloud cavitation dynamics with varying incidence

This dataset contains selected parts of the data for the PhD thesis in preparation titled "Cloud cavitation dynamics with varying incidence" by Grigorios Hatzissawidis (Technische Universität Darmstadt). The data were collected in the cavitation tunnel at the Cavitation Research Laboratory (CRL), Australian Maritime College, University of Tasmania. High-speed photography and simultaneous force measurements using a six-component force balance were conducted. Cloud cavitation was observed about a NACA 0015 hydrofoil. The dataset includes the power spectral densities (PSDs) of the lift coefficient, estimated using Welch's method and provided in the archive "PSDs_of_CL.zip". The file "data_table.csv" contains the characteristic frequencies and Strouhal numbers, the mean and standard deviation of the lift and drag coefficients, the maximum cavity sheet length and spanwise extent extracted from the high-speed photographs, as well as additional parameters such as Reynolds number, cavitation number, and incidence. Further information on the data and variable definitions is provided in the "README.md" file and in the PhD thesis.
