Stable isotopes data from marine sediment core CAGE19-3-KH14, the eastern Fram Strait, covering the time interval 34.1-40 years b2k

DOI

We present stable oxygen and carbon isotopes data from marine sediment core CAGE19-3-KH14. Core CAGE19-3-KH14 was retrieved from the eastern Fram Strait (77°31'22.8" N, 8°24'05.0" E) with a piston corer at 2300 m water depth during the CAGE 19-3 expedition onboard RC Kronprins Haakon to the Atlantic-Arctic gateway region in November 2019. Measurement was done on the planktic framinifera species Neogloboquadrina pachyderma, in FARLAB at the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Bergen, using a MAT253 mass spectrometer coupled to a Kiel IV preparation line. Measurements were done in year 2022. Results are calibrated to Vienna Pee Dee Belemnite (VPDB) using NBS 19 and NBS 18 and Carrara Marble (CM12) as a working standard. The results provide information on subsurface water mass characteristics in the eastern Fram Strait.
