Major element compositions of the clinopyroxenes from andesites from the Kueishantao island analysed by EMPA (S5)

This dataset reports in situ major elements of clinopyroxene of andesite from Kueishantao, north of Taiwan, China. Major element compositions of Cpx were obtained with a JEOL JXA-8230 electron microprobe at Ocean University of China.

The thermobarometry of clinopyroxene we use was from Putirka et al. (2003). The Fe-Mg exchange coefficient yielded KD(Fe-Mg)cpx-liq = 0.28 ± 0.08 (Putirka, 2008), and only data points falling within the equilibrium range were used for thermobarometry calculations.Clinopyroxene components are based on the numbers of cations on a 6 oxygen basis.
