Chelonia mydas Transcriptome or Gene expression or WGS or eDNA or Caretta caretta or Lepidochelys kempii or Dermochelys coriacea

In order to gain a better understanding of the biology, triggers, and viral dynamics surrounding Fibropapillomatosis (FP) tumors in the green sea turtle, Chelonia mydas. FP tumors were surgically removed from juvenile green sea turtle patients as part of their rehabilitative care. Transcriptional profiles were generated in order to compare global gene expression to that of biopsies from non-tumored areas of the same turtles. Whole genome sequencing was used to generate mutational signature profiles to understand mutational differences driving tumorigenesis compared to non-tumor tissues. -RNA-seq -DNA-seq (WGS) - eDNA metagenomics
