The GeoMICS project (Genome-Enabled Ocean Microbiology Integrated with Chemical Surveys) focuses on changes in microbial diversity, community functions, and chemical features across a subset of the Line P transect in the eastern North Pacific. This transect is a well-defined transition zone that demarcates the intersection of coastal and off-shore HNLC waters. GeoMICS involves a collaboration of 50+ scientists aimed to integrate physical, chemical, and biological datasets. Here, we generated quantitative metatranscriptomes along the transect.
