Antarctic circumpolar current strength over the past 790 kyr from IODP Site 383-U1542

DOI

Here, we present high-resolution Pleistocene near bottom current strength record based the zirconium to rubidium ratio (Zr/Rb) calibrated with sortable silt data. These records were obtained from International Ocean Discovery Program (IODP) Site U1542, located ~30 nautical miles off the Chilean coast in reach of the southward flowing Cape Horn Current, the northernmost branch of the Antarctic circumpolar current entering the Drake Passage.
