Panel Survey - Covid Trust and Democracy (NL 2020)

DOI

This three wave panel study covers questions on political trust, support for democracy, and the COVID19 pandemic. Data were collected by Kantar Public in March 2020 (days before the pandemic lockdown measures were announced), April/May 2020 (days before lockdown measures would be released), and October 2020 (onset of the second wave of infections).

The timing of the first wave was serendipity, but makes it unique for the purposes of understanding rally round the flag effects (changes/boost in political support) brought about by the pandemic.

This data set was supported by funding from the Dutch Science Foundation (NWO) and the Dutch Ministry of Interior Affairs (MinBZK).
