Chinook salmon are an important species to human culture, commerce, and recreation. The goal of this study was to refine population structure analyses by using genomic level data and identify population defining regions of the Chinook salmon genome. These types of analyses are important for conservation efforts and identifying regions of the genome adapted to different environments.
