This dataset contains responses from 386 preservice teachers enrolled at two universities in Catalonia, Spain (University of Barcelona and University of Lleida). Data were collected using the EU Survey platform, through an online questionnaire comprising four validated psychological instruments: the Multicultural Efficacy Scale (Guyton & Wesche, 2005), the Cultural Intelligence Scale (Ang et al., 2015), the Scale of Ethnocultural Empathy (Wang et al., 2003), and the Multicultural Ideology Scale (Berry, 2005). The dataset contains baseline or pre-test survey responses collected as part of a larger research project evaluating the impact of a training programme on preservice teachers' multicultural self-efficacy and related attitudinal and cognitive variables. The data support research on how preservice teachers perceive and engage with cultural and linguistic diversity in classrooms.
