De geïnterviewde vertrekt in 1947 in Indië vlak nadat haar man hier naartoe werd uitgezonden. Ze verbleef eerst te Pladjoe en later in Badjoebang en Balikpapan. De geïnterviewde vertelt over de BPM-gemeenschap en schetst een beeld van de sociale activiteiten. Tot slot vertelt de geïnterviewde over het vertrek naar Nederland eind jaren '50.De echtgenoot van de geïnterviewde is ook geïnterviewd voor het SMGI-project. Zie interview 1656.
