During the ANTAR XXVII cruise in February 2020, hydrographic casts of temperature, salinity, pressure, and dissolved oxygen were obtained using a Seabird SBE 911plus CTDO system, equipped with an SBE43 oxygen sensor, aboard the RV BAP Carrasco (BOP 171). Data collection was conducted along three transects (T1, T3, and T4) in the Bransfield Strait, covering the region between the Antarctic Peninsula and the southern coasts of King George, Nelson, and Roberts Islands. The sensors, factory-calibrated prior to deployment in January, did not undergo additional calibration during or after the campaign. Basic quality control procedures were applied, including the exclusion of anomalous values. This dataset is part of the scientific efforts of Peru's National Antarctic Program, under the project titled "Structure and Dynamics of Circulation in the Bransfield Strait."
This dataset is part of the project entitled "Structure and Dynamics of Circulation in the Bransfield Strait" which was financed through the Peruvian Results-Based Budget Program PPR 068, entitled "Reduction of Vulnerability and Emergency Attention for Disasters" with reference number RM N° 0884-2019-Re as part of a call for proposals within the Peru's National Antarctica Program funded by the Directorate of Antarctic Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
