This dataset was acquired during RV TANGAROA cruise TAN2304 Honeycomb ridge, offshore SE North Island, New Zealand in March 2023. For this dataset a 150 cinch generator-injector airgun provided active source signals up 300 Hz. 20 ocean-bottom seismometers (OBS) were deployed, each equipped with a three-component seismometer (4.5 Hz reference frequency) and a hydrophone. All OBS were deployed using the deep sea cable and USBL of RV TANGAROA at 100 m distance at the seafloor. Sailing at 4 kn the shot interval was set to 7 seconds. First arrival relocation was applied to confirm seafloor position of each OBS. Aim of the seismic experiment was to provide high-resolution velocity-depth models for compressional and converted shear wave velocities analyzing gas migration pathways and gas hydrate accumulations at Honeycomb ridge.
