Opgraving is gevolg van selectiebesluit gemeente Zutphen. De vindplaatsen zijn planologisch beschermd (dubbelbestemming archeologie, bestemmingsplan Hart van de Wijk). Het gaat om terreinen met een hoge en middelhoge archeologische waarde. Er zal op beide locaties gebouwd gaan worden.
