The excavation of the Magdalenian site of Eyserheide wascarried out in April 1990, July to September 1990, and inApril 1991 by students of the then Institute of Prehistory ofLeiden University, in cooperation with Mr Blezer, membersof the Archeologische Werkgemeenschap Nederland, amateurarchaeologists, and volunteers. During the excavation,two small concentrations of fl int artefacts were completelyexcavated and a zone with more dispersed finds wasexcavated to a large extent. The total area excavated inEyserheide was 183 m2. This investigation constitutedthe third excavation of a settlement from the Magdalenianin the Netherlands.
