Media and Preschool Children in Slovenia, 2016

The purpose of the survey was to gather data on media exposure of preschool children and selected elements of educating preschool children about media, either in home environment or in kindergarten. The survey includes opinions of parents and kindergarten teachers of children aged 1 to 6 years about the impact of media on the mood, health, weight, speech development, aggressive behaviour and consumption habits of children. It also includes their opinions on the importance of setting rules and restrictions to preschool children regarding the use of media.

Probability: Stratified. Non-probability: Quota. From the set of all public and private kindergartens in Slovenia, 120 kindergartens were randomly chosen in the first step. Afterwards, 65 kindergartens were added. The total sample of 185 kindergartens represents a uniform distribution across all regions.Probability: Stratified. Non-probability: Quota.
