DOI

The aim of the study was to illustrate with a practical case the information about developing countries in the Swedish press, and to study how a joint information effort, the Karibu-project, have influence on the press, partly in a series of articles dealing with the activity connected with the information effort and partly with the eventual quantitative and qualitative changes in the offering during a longer period of time. Every fourth week during the years 1974 through 1975 articles in the daily, popular and specialist press were analysed. This gives material for comparisons between local and national press, political signatures, different size of circulation etc. and between daily, popular and specialist press. The comparisons refers to type of article, central theme, content, who is interviewed or quoted etc.
