The database was created as part of the CONVERSAS project, which investigates Christian women of Jewish and Muslim origin (Conversas and Moriscas, respectively) in the premodern Crown of Aragon. This research was funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions grant agreement No. 101104439. The dataset provides structured information on all women documented in inquisitorial sources from Catalonia (c. 1487–1505) who were identified as Conversas by inquisitorial authorities, including both women who were the subjects of proceedings and those referenced in the cases of others. Each record represents a documentary attestation and is linked through stable person identifiers, enabling the reconstruction of individual life trajectories, family networks, and patterns of inquisitorial action.
