Biography (DEDI Project 2006-2010)

DOI

In the period 2006-2010, the Danish-Egyptian Dialogue Institute in Cairo (DEDI) funded internships at Centre for Arab-West Understanding in Cairo (CAWU) through Centre for Intercultural Dialogue and Translation in Cairo (CIDT). All the internships were supervised by a Dutch scholar on Arab-West relations and Editor-in-Chief of Arab-West Report; Cornelis Hulsman. Danish/Egyptian interns received scholarships, although the project was not restricted to Danish / Egyptian students solely. Other students joined as well, but did so, on their own cost, thus did not receive a DEDI scholarship. The purpose of the program was for Danish and Egyptian students to work on the biographies together.
