Pyrosequencing of major Canadian ports

Sixteen major Canadian ports were sampled based on their perceived risk to invasive species. Each port was sampled in six sites and where possible, over two seasons. These samples were 454 pyrosequenced at the V4 region of the 18S gene, with the aim to identify aquatic invasive species and describe native biodiversity.
